Fallout I
Hi, Wargame and game enthusiasts, casual visitors and anyone that wants to scroll through my pages. I will be posting up reviews of games, Tabletop Historical, Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Of Conventions attended and Dealers both at the cons and those I've bought from online or in person. And any other games my gaming group has been playing.
BUT, the biggest reason for starting this is to showcase miniatures painted to a tabletop standard, along with terrain made to go with them and the AAR's about their use. I know many sites talk about painting miniatures, but most go well beyond the tabletop standard that most gamers expect. To review how the miniatures clean up, glue up and paint up as well as things I feel I did wrong or turned out despite my ideas of how they should look.
So to start off some Fallout pictures of buildings and minis done for future post apocalyptic games.
Deathclaw from the Modiphius Fallout minis.
Both Horrigan and the Deathclaw show my ongoing struggle to find a good dullcoat, while on Horrigan it didn't turn out badly, the Deathclaw is spotty with some areas less dulled than others. I use a Polyurethane coat to protect minis during gaming, we do a lot of demonstration gaming and introduction events to bring in new people, so some get handled a lot by new gamers. Well even the dullest of the Polyurethanes are very glossy for tabletop minis, so I dullcoat the finished miniature to get rid of the shine. It also puts another seal on the flocking and helps hold that.
Well enough for my first post, hope to do many more in the future with my historical miniatures as well.
